Ben Pollard
Managing Director
A dynamic and experienced Director, Ben founded Cyber Security Specialists in 2015 with the ambition of bringing cost effective and pragmatic cyber security services to Companies of all shapes and sizes, across all business sectors.
Having supported some of the largest Public Sector change programs over the two decades he has vast experience in providing security consultancy to the UK Government, helping to ensure that the online services used by millions of UK citizens are built and operated securely.
Prior to starting Cyber Security Specialists Ben worked for Capita, IBM, and was a Director of an independent Software House that produced secure software solutions for Local Government.
In his spare time, Ben loves nothing more than to spend as much time as possible with his wife and two daughters in addition to some tennis and golf when time permits!
Maria Bregolato
Consultancy Manager
After starting her career in the translation industry, Maria transitioned to Governance, Risk and Compliance roles in 2018, specialising in ISO 27001 and Data Protection.
She brings to Cyber Security Specialists years of experience in Project Management, Change Management and Compliance Management across different industries.
Not coming from a technical background, Maria’s strength lies in delivering technical services to her clients in a way that is tailored to them, specifically when it comes to conveying the importance of embedding security processes in a business to senior leadership and non-technical teams.
Outside of work, Maria loves to sing and, when possible, visit the capitals of the world.
Joe Coxon
Head of Security Testing
Joe brings over a decade of IT experience, including nine years as a Penetration Tester. His past positions as a CHECK Team Leader saw him managing Pen Testing projects to Public sector clients in the UK including Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) systems. Joe has also worked with a number of international Private Sector clients delivering tests a range of tests across Web Applications, Infrastructures and Cloud platforms. This experience has equipped him with the ability to deliver tailored Penetration testing services to clients across a range of different industries, with a focus on providing high quality outcomes.
Joe's primary role involves managing the internal Penetration Test team with these same core values to ensure that Cyber Security Specialists provide a friendly and cost-effective service to all our clients. In addition Joe forms part of the Senior Leadership team and is instrumental in delivering the Company’s growth strategy.
In his spare time Joe enjoys holidays with his wife, cooking his favourite dishes and watching football.
Jenny Meller
General Manager
Jenny has been with Cyber Security Specialists from day one and has over 20 years of experience as a General Manager. This experience started in the retail and service industry before moving into Cyber Security in 2015.
Jenny specialises in building business processes, people management, and marketing products. As a General Manager Jenny is responsible for overseeing our daily operations and managing the business aspects of the company including HR, Payroll and Accounts. Her duties include reviewing and implementing operational procedures and supporting each consultancy team to ensure that we continue to deliver the highest quality service to our clients. In summary Jenny is the glue that holds us all together!
Outside of work Jenny loves spending time with her family, cooking, long walks and travelling the world exploring new countries and cultures.
